 In FY17, the Proud to be Oakland Park Business Initiative was created to represent the values of people, progress and pride.  The City of Oakland Park celebrates all businesses that are proud to be located in Oakland Park.  We encourage and recognize all businesses that promote Oakland Park as their location and in their advertising.  City staff, business owners and patrons can nominate Proud Oakland Park businesses for this recognition.

Deserving businesses are those which:

• Market their business as Oakland Park
•  Mention Oakland Park in their packaging or corporate identify
• Have invested in community enhancement efforts

Award nominees receive:

• Storefront award decal to display your achievement
• Award logo to use on company website and materials
• Company's award will be featured in City newsletter, website and other publications

Certificates are created in-house and signage costs to designate the winner are minimal.  There is not financial impact other than the actual awards which are funded in the CRA budget
