Issue Statement:  On August 7, 2022, Board member Aaron Gillego resigned, creating a vacancy with a term expiring June 2024. In addition, Board Member Douglas Weisz's term expires this month (February) and he would like to be reappointed for another 3-year term.

Recommended Action: City Commission appoint, by consensus, two board members: one (1) member to the Beautification Advisory Board for a term ending June 2024 and one (1) member for a 3-year term ending February 2026.

Sec. 24-235. Beautification advisory board
(B)   Composition; compensation. The board established in this section shall be composed of seven (7) members appointed by the City Commission. Any compensation shall be established by City Commission resolution. All members of the board shall be residents of the city. No member of the board may be an employee of the city, nor may any elected official of the city be a member of the board.

Beautification Advisory Board member Aaron Gillego resigned, creating a vacancy with a term expiring June 2024. Board Member Douglas Weisz's term expires this month (February) and he would like to be reappointed for another 3-year term. There are three (3) additional applications on file at this time. 

Mr. Michael Vita, who currently serves on the Art and Culture board,  would like to be considered for the Beautification Advisory Board.
