| | | | | | | | | SUBJECT: Approval of a Work Authorization for Flynn Engineering for Glenwood Garden Design Professional Services. |
|
| | | | | | | | | 1. | BACKGROUND/HISTORY | | | Issue Statement - The City of Oakland Park is continuing its investment in public green spaces through the development of Glenwood Garden, a native plant botanical garden located at 1265 and 1279 NE 35th Street. This 0.53-acre site is envisioned as a passive garden that promotes native species, enhances ecological value, and offers educational and recreational benefits to the community.
To advance the project toward construction readiness, the City requested a formal proposal from Flynn Engineering Services, P.A. to provide civil engineering, landscape architectural coordination, and related design services. These services are necessary to complete construction drawings and obtain required permits.
The proposed Work Authorization is issued under the City’s continuing contract for professional services (CCNA), awarded on March 20, 2024, by Resolution No. R-2024-057.
Recommended Action:
Staff recommends the City Commission adopt a resolution authorizing the proper City officials to execute a Work Authorization between the City of Oakland Park and Flynn Engineering Services, P.A., for professional design and engineering services related to the Glenwood Garden project, in an amount not to exceed $199,265.00, and approving the proposed Budget Amendment. |
|
| | | | | | | | | 2. | CURRENT ACTIVITY | | | Flynn Engineering Services, P.A. has submitted a comprehensive proposal to provide design and engineering services associated with the Glenwood Garden Project.
Services include:
