| | | | | | | | | 1. | BACKGROUND/HISTORY
| | | Issue Statement: The City of Oakland Park seeks to renew Invitation to Bid (ITB) #030623 for Plant and Landscape Materials with Installation Agreements.
Recommended Action: City staff recommends the City Commission adopt a resolution to renew agreements with the following vendors to provide the supply, delivery, and installation of plant and landscape materials on an as-needed basis:
- Runway Growers, Inc.
- Landscape Service Professionals LLC
History: The Public Works Department’s Parks Maintenance Division and Streets Division maintain and install landscape plants in City parks, medians, and other City-owned green spaces. These operations require a variety of plant materials to meet ongoing maintenance and installation needs. |

| | | | | | | | | 2. | CURRENT ACTIVITY
| | | On April 19, 2023, Invitation to Bid (ITB) #030623 for Plant and Landscape Materials with Installation was awarded to the below contractors. These agreements are set to expire on April 18, 2026. Therefore, staff recommends approval to exercise one (1) additional three-year renewal period under the same terms and conditions agreed upon for the following contractors:
- Runway Growers, Inc.
- Landscape Service Professionals LLC
Staff will utilize the most advantageous bid pricing available for specific items on an as-needed basis.

| | | | | | | | | 3. | FINANCIAL IMPACT
| | | Expenditures are incurred on an as-needed basis for plant materials and related services procured from the awarded vendors. In FY25, the City expended $81,528 for materials and services with Runway Growers, Inc. and Landscape Professionals LLC. Sufficient funding is included in the FY26 Operating Budget of the Public Works Department – Parks Maintenance Division.
Should any individual purchase exceed the $25,000 threshold, the item will be brought before the City Commission for approval. |
