Kaufman Lynn Construction (KL) will present the City with the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Florida East Coast Chapter's 2025 Excellence in Construction Award for the recent Public Works project.
The project received the highest award level in the Government/Local Municipality category for outstanding construction quality, safety, innovation, and project execution. The award is an acknowledgment of the collaborative efforts of City staff, the design team, and construction partners whose contributions helped make it a successful project.
The ~43,000 sq. ft. facility — comprising a two-level operations building, a warehouse for the City's water, wastewater, and facilities maintenance, and a fleet building — was built to exceed hurricane standards, featuring interior tilt-wall construction, deep drainage wells, and a modern fleet maintenance center.
