Issue Statement: The owner of the residential property located at 2121 W Oakland Park Blvd, is requesting settlement of outstanding code enforcement lien and fine of $233,050.

Recommended Solution: The City Commission approve the proposed settlement offer of $70,715 for Code Enforcement Lien - Case Numbers 179695, 185158, & 183681 – Sun King Investments LLC, owner of the property at 2121 W Oakland Park Blvd, a commercial property.

The offer of $69,915 plus $800 in administrative and processing fees for a total of $70,715 is 30% of the outstanding lien balance.

 

The total settlement offer is to be paid within sixty (60) days of the City Commission’s approval. Failure to pay within the sixty (60) days would void the settlement.

 

The property is currently in compliance and there are no other outstanding code cases against the property

3.FINANCIAL IMPACT
    
 

The proposed settlement will result in the City receiving $70,715 in fines and reimbursement for the City’s efforts in restoring this property into compliance with City ordinances.

4.RECOMMENDATION
    
 

It is recommended that the City Commission approve the proposed settlement in regard to Code Enforcement Lien - Code Case Numbers 179695, 185158, & 183681 – Sun King Investments LLC, owner of the property at 2121 W Oakland Park Blvd, a commercial property.
