1.BACKGROUND/HISTORY
    
 

In FY17, the Proud to be Oakland Park Business (P2BOP) Initiative was created to represent the values of people, progress and pride. The City of Oakland Park celebrates all businesses that are proud to be located in Oakland Park. We encourage and recognize all businesses that promote Oakland Park as their location and in their advertising. City staff, business owners and patrons nominate Proud Oakland Park businesses for this recognition.



Deserving businesses are those which:

 

  • Market their business as being in Oakland Park
  • Mention Oakland Park in their packaging or corporate identity
  • Have invested in community enhancement efforts

 
Award nominees receive:

 

  • Storefront award decal to display achievement
  • Award logo to use on company website and materials
  • Company's award will be featured in City newsletter, website and other publications
