1.BACKGROUND/HISTORY
    
 

Issue Statement: The owner of the property located at 501 NE 32 Street, a commercial property, is requesting settlement of outstanding code enforcement lien and fine of $144,300.

 

Recommended Solution: The City Commission approve the proposed settlement offer of $21,645 plus $375 in recording and processing fees for Code Enforcement Lien Code Case #186614 – with Taylor Creek LLC, owner of 501 NE 32 Street, a commercial property.

2.CURRENT ACTIVITY
    
 The offer is $21,465 plus $375 in recording and processing fees. The total settlement offer is to be paid within ninety (90) days of the City Commission’s approval. Failure to pay within the ninety (90) days will void the settlement.
3.FINANCIAL IMPACT
    
 

The proposed settlement is $21,645.

 

The contractual percentage due to Orange Lien is $3,788 (17.5%).

 

The net amount the City will receive, including administrative and associated lien release fees is $17,857.

4.RECOMMENDATION
    
 

It is recommended that the The City Commission approve the proposed settlement offer of $21,645 plus $375 in recording and processing fees for Code Enforcement Lien Code Case #186614 – with Taylor Creek LLC, owner of 501 NE 32 Street, a commercial property.
