| | | | | | | | | 1. | BACKGROUND/HISTORY
| | | Issue Statement: Florida State Statute provides municipalities the authority to regulate commercial vehicles within their jurisdiction. This authority includes regulating wheel and axle loads and gross vehicle weights to promote the public health, safety, and general welfare upon the streets, roadways, and highways. City staff seeks to codify the State’s established weight limits pursuant to Florida Statute Chapter 316.
Recommended Action: Staff recommends the City Commission adopt the attached Ordinance regulating Commercial Vehicle Weight and Load restrictions, in accordance with Chapter 316 of the Florida Statutes. |
