| | | | | | | | 1. | BACKGROUND/HISTORY | | Issue Statement: The City of Oakland Park Public Works - Building Maintenance Division is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all City buildings and facilities, and is seeking to repair a number of roof leaks in City owned facilities.
Recommended Action: The City Commission adopt a resolution authorizing the use of the City of Sunrise contract with Advanced Roofing, Inc. for roofing maintenance and repair, and approving expenditures up to the budgeted availability. |

| | | | | | | | 2. | CURRENT ACTIVITY | | The City of Oakland Park Public Works - Building Maintenance Division maintains a number of City buildings and facilities. After heavy rain events, numerous roof leaks can occur. Staff seeks to use the City of Sunrise agreement awarded to Advanced Roofing, Inc. on May 14, 2019. The initial term of the agreement was three (3) years for the period June 1, 2019, through May 31, 2022. The agreement included the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods. On May 12, 2022, the agreement was renewed for the first 3-year period June 1, 2022, through May 31, 2023 (see Renewal Letter). At the time of renewal, a price adjustment was allowed in accordance with the annual CPI-U (the CPI-U from March 2021 to March 2022 is 8.5%). The contractor requested an 8.5% increase, which was approved by the City of Sunrise.

| | | | | | | | 3. | FINANCIAL IMPACT | | Expenditures are incurred on an as-needed basis. Most individual service repairs may are expected to be under the $25,000 threshold. However, cumulative purchases under this agreement will exceed $25,000, but will not exceed the amount available within the Building Maintenance Division's Repair and Maintenance budget. Individual work orders exceeding $25,000 will require City Commission approval. |
